There is no shortage of schools. There is a shortage of schools that take everything seriously at once.
We Do Not Ask You to Choose
Other schools in this market ask, implicitly or explicitly, for a compromise. Academic strength or Islamic identity. Discipline or warmth. Ambition or values.
Zarban Academy was built to refuse every one of those trade-offs.
We believe that the Islamic tradition — properly understood and properly applied — demands academic excellence, not as an alternative to faith but as an expression of it. The Prophet ﷺ commanded us to do all things with itqan. We take that seriously in every classroom.
What makes us Zarban
The Islamic programme is the first priority of the school day — not the last
Before any academic subject is taught, 2.5 hours of Qur'an, Islamic studies, and Arabic language instruction establish the foundation of everything else.
All staff are practising Muslims of character
This is not a preference — it is a hiring standard. The people teaching your child embody what they are teaching. Character is modelled, not just instructed.
Arabic is taught to functional fluency, not symbolic competence
By Secondary, students study Islamic subjects in Arabic. Our graduates will be able to engage with classical Islamic scholarship — a capability most schools do not attempt.
The English standard is uncompromising
English is the language of instruction and professional life at Zarban — enforced from Day 1. Graduates speak and write with the confidence and precision that university and professional life require.
Governance is formal and accountable
Zarban Academy is governed by a Board of Experts — a multi-disciplinary authority covering Islamic scholarship, education leadership, finance, law, and community. Institutional decisions are not made informally.
The curriculum prepares students for both national and international environments
NERDC for Nigerian university placement; Cambridge IGCSE methodology in priority subjects for international competitiveness. Both, simultaneously.
Parents are partners, not passengers
At Zarban, parental involvement is structured and meaningful — regular conferences, a Parent–Student Handbook, and a school that expects Islamic formation to continue at home. We tell you honestly how your child is doing.
This school was designed — not improvised
Every system, policy, timetable, and staffing standard at Zarban was developed by a professional education consulting team before the school opened. This is an institution with architecture — not a startup figuring things out as it goes.
"If you have been looking for a school where your child will not have to unlearn what the school taught them — you have found it."
